Superfood Company records an increase in turnover of almost 10% in 2017
Superfood Company, one of the largest importers and distributors of products for young children, recorded in 2017 a turnover of about 21 million euros (97 million lei), up almost 10% compared to 2016, when sales of 88 million lei (over 19 million euros) were reported. For 2018, a turnover of about 22.5 million euros (105 million lei) is forecast, against the background of the growing trend of consumption in this segment in Romania. The company has more than 25 years of experience in this niche.
The market for baby care products for children up to 3 years old will continue to grow slightly in 2018. According to Superfood Company representatives’ estimates, in 2017, baby food, infant care products, small and large nursery range and products for new mothers recorded higher sales than the previous year, a trend that will continue this year.
“Global Gross Domestic Product is expected to increase in 2018, more than in previous years. This will result in an upward trend in consumption.”
“We have been growing at a slightly above market pace, so we have been able to increase market share for several of our ranges, including the Organix organic products and the Baby Nova small nursery range.” – Daniel Dărăban, Managing Director of Superfood Company
“We are currently in an accelerated maturation process for many of the products we have in our portfolio, so 2018 will be a year of evolution for Superfood Company, of consistent growth and consolidation of our position in this extremely important niche!”, said Daniel Dărăban, CEO of Superfood Company.
